It is a privilege to know, by reading the mans own words translated to English, that Galileo Galilei understood greater and lesser infinities. He could also explain them lucidly in a language that people could understand. We are truly blessed that a friend and patron of Galileo did publish his book two new sciences. It is incredible just how much of current science he pioneered, including what may have been the first mathematically precise way to predict how strong a building, ship, or tower will be.
