It is a shame that two lives were cut short, but what is even worse is that the wrong lessons are being learned. Police officers are NOT perfect. Theyre only human. And while there are bad apples in every profession, the facts in BOTH cases do NOT point to racist, aggressive cops that were out for blood. Here are a few thoughts....... Teach your kids to respect the police. Teach them, if a police officer approaches you, PUT YOUR DAMN HANDS IN THE AIR. Do not run. Do not get mouthy. Do not reach for ANYTHING. Say Yes sir, no, sir. Yes maam, no maam. My prayers go out to ALL families that are effected by recent events - including the police officers that were involved. #cantwealljustgetalong
