It is a very strange feeling knowing that there are only six days left in my career as a local pastor in appointment. I have met the most incredible and loving people and witnessed love and generosity like never before. I am beginning to feel like a misplaced child wandering around waiting for God to direct me into the next chapter of my life. My heart has been aching for weeks in the thoughts of leaving the Kingston UMC and the Kingston community. So many people have made me laugh until Ive cried; shared their concerns with me until I fell to my knees for Gods great mercy and intervention in their lives; have faced the challenges of being in a leadership position when the only thing that mattered was what was best for all & have been strengthened by the prayers of those who have loved Dennis and I. This Sunday will require Gods strength in saying good-bye to those brothers and sisters in Christ whom have etched their way into my heart. I am thankful for Bishop Deb Kiesey, Dr. Rev. Joanne Bartelt and the Cabinet for taking such good care of me. I am thankful to Cole UMC, Melvin UMC and the Kingston UMC congregations for your patience and understanding on those days when I took you out of your comfort zone in the name of Jesus. May you continue to go forth all the days of your lives living out your faith in Jesus Christ making a difference in our world. All my love, Pastor Debi
