It is all so ironic plus the law of unintended consequences. Dan Hodges is right to point out that the dystopian view Labour has been trying to paint down south to English voters of life under the Tories has backfired with them in Scotland, encouraging Scottish Labour Voters to seek to get out of union altogether as they dont think Labour will get in next time & fear what a Tory government might do. It is all nonsense, of course, as the Tories are fairly mild mannered middle of the road types these days, not that dissimilar to dear old New Labour. The current Labour leadership know this, so in order to differentiate themselves they exaggerate their differences with the Tories. What is even more ironic is that voters in England who have more direct experience, unlike the Scots, of Camerons Tories know they really arent that different from New Labour & are voting in numbers for UKIP. Talk about the law of unintended consequences. blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/danhodges/100285693/if-scotland-votes-to-leave-it-will-be-self-serving-labours-fault/
