It is all too easy to fall into a constrictive perspective driven by self-interest and fueled by feeling of worries and disappointments, and often this happens without you even realizing it. Somewhere between six o’clock and bedtime—your compassion was swallowed up into a vortex of lost time. If this occurs enough, it becomes a routine, and you feel you have been cheated out of the quality time that you need for nurturing your relationships that matter the most in your life, including the relationship with yourself. You may not think of yourself as a writer but immeasurable emotional healing can come out of writing. Why are sites like Facebook or Google + so attractive to people? Because writing helps you articulate, clarify, and release pent-up emotions, and it can give you a renewed perspective. The act of sharing and seeking intimacy with others through writing is healing to our hearts, minds, and souls, despite our cultural differences. Thus allowing us to feel loved…to feel needed…to feel wanted…moreover to make those you care about feel the same. The practice of honestly communicating will help you explore compassion and discover how it can be an antidote to your own troubled times. If you are lucky enough to have someone in your life that always stops what that are doing and truly hangs on every word you say…that always there for you…and tries to make you feel good about yourself try the practice of returning it. Make it a goal to be the first to reach-out and be there for them without them asking you. Stop letting your compassion be swallowed up into a vortex of lost time. If you want to find happiness you must stop kicking those that care about you to the curb. May this practice soften your heart and give you joy! And may you have an awesome day!!! :)
