It is amazing how God puts people in your path. While serving today at Shelby Christian Church, No Sale Yard Sale, I was walking among many people, and I bumped into a lady that looked me in the eyes, and I could clearly see the pain in her eyes. My privilege there today was to pray with those that needed prayer or just to talk, so I asked her if I could help her find something and tears came to her eyes. I asked her would she like someone to talk to or pray with her. She nodded her head and I took her hand and went into the auditorium so we could have a quiet area to talk. She began to tell me her story. Well immediately my eyes were filled with tears as she told me about the tragic death of her son in February from a tractor accident, and then brain surgery she had to undergo to remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit. There was also a lot of drama in her family and people just being cruel. The whole time she was talking, I was silently praying to God that he would give me the right words to say to her that would ease some of her pain, even if it was just for the moment. I asked her if I could pray with her and she said yes. God was definitely with me because the words just began to spill out of my mouth and it was one of the most moving experiences I have ever had. I may never ever see this lady again, but for a brief moment our paths crossed and God touched BOTH of our lives. Thank you Jesus for helping me to be YOU today.
