It is amazing how people want to keep up with the Joneses..in 1981, if you did not have an education and made $1.75 an hour, you were considered making money. Fast forward to today...if you try to hire an undeducated person for a simple task of sweeping, they laugh at you, expect a minimum wage of $ 9 an hour, receive their W-2 at the end of the year, vacation time, etc. My question is they still collect lone star card benefits, collect wages, not report an income, etc. and if we fire them, we get scrutinized by the Texas Employment commission....is that fair? We are paying people to stay at home without searching for jobs according to the White House. I had a young lady approach for work but yet more arrogant than a medical doctor who changes more Mercedes Benz every year than I change my clothes, unwilling to perform menial tasks, wanting to leave for home by 8 p.m. ( whether customers are in the store or not), etc. My mouth dropped 10 feet when I heard her demands. I was looking for an employee so I can expand my natural healing center. Are you freaking kidding? With employees like that, who needs a business...might as well as go work for someone else. Forgive my ranting...I am shocked that being unemployed and wearing a MK purse is more important than working an honest job, having money in your pocket, and having the pride to state you are self sufficient...wow...in the 1980s, we were happy to have a job....wow...
