It is amazing how when we want to be successful in a given field, we spend years in school studying and researching on that field. Then by these investments we become better Lawyers, Medical Doctors, Engineers etc. But when it comes to relationship and marriage, many think they dont have to do anything. They think all they need to do is find one good lady/ guy and get married and automatically they will have a successful marriage; no knowledge about the institution at all. They build your lives by the fantasies of movies. The average young person does not read. Even the so called graduates. If you think I am wrong, ask yourself. How many personal development books have I read this year? How many relationship or marriage books and articles have I read this year? Compare that to how many movies you have seen of recent. Your answers to the above questions is a pointer whether you are preparing to have a successful relationship/marriage or not. Many people think it does not matter, but those things we think do not matter are the things that matters most. I love this quote by Dr Myles Moorne so much, that says if you dont know something, even if you are 100 years old, you still do not know it The time to prepare is now not tomorrow.
