It is an ordinary, boring island on an ordinary boring day, two - TopicsExpress

It is an ordinary, boring island on an ordinary boring day, two days past my birthday. It was not planned because I am supposed to be in the classroom as early as eight oclock, only to be informed that the professor was out of town. The night before, a friend happened to be online, and we swiftly agreed to see each other early next day to set sail in this ordinary, boring bay. With only three of us, that ordinary, boring day in the ordinary, boring turned out to be extraordinary and memorable. After attending the first mass and a hasty breakfast, we headed to Tubod port, rode a boat to get to mainland Tangub City, then rode another boat and reached our destination in less than five minutes. The sun was smiling brightly and the breeze just right to make us marvel this splendid part of nature. Some fishermen can be seen busy casting nets, while a man wading the water can also be seen from afar. After, strolling and strutting the rocky edges of the island with my friends, I decided to take my shorts off and soak my self for almost half an hour in seawater while the two of them just sit on the rocks. Then, as the sun seemed to scorch my skin,I decided to head ashore, find some shed, and took more pictures. The ordinary, boring island seemed to wake up and become more colorful. Or maybe, the lens just make those images more vivid and pleasing to the sight. Still, the raw and unspoiled things we have seen around is a marvelous creation. When I looked up in the skies, I realized, I have seized a slice of paradise. The island must be His gift to me, and to the people who have sought solace in this island. It was not a typical gift bedecked with a glossy ribbon, but a wonderful experience which, as I unwrapped it, made my sing my heart out of praise and thanksgiving. Again, I lift my eyes and look up and silently say my thanks. We decided to leave the island and I brought with me the realization that I may not have everything, but I have enough.
