It is apparent that the leadership required to make Jamaicas development of the resources necessary for Jamaicas future as a place of choice in the world is still very much light years from becoming a reality. It is obviously more than just putting the ideas necessary which is beyond basic comprehension for the resources to be garnered for this project to be come the reality that Jamaica so desperately needs at this time. One imagined that it would be a fait accompli for the initial funding requirements for the documentation, graphics and econometrics presentation required for any public endorsements as the premier funding source in Jamaica - the Petro Caribe funding facility headed by Dr. Wesley Hughes the former financial secretary of the government of Jamaica. The size and magnitude of any such project can only be done with a totally public approach that concomitantly serves at the vehicle to stabilizes the international capital shortages that the Jamaica economy is experiencing. The current debt obligations of the Jamaican economy have made it exceedingly difficult for any possible liberalization of the draconian tax and administrative regimen in the near foreseeable future without a substantial increase in the incomes policy of the Jamaican economy that a project of this caliber can compile to change the severe contraction that the Jamaican economy is now experiencing. The Jamaican economy is witnessing a substantial contraction in the available demand that stimulates economic activity that predicates any possible economic growth. The top down approach with the likes of a Rockefeller syndrome or another John Rollins are going to be only relics of a near distant past never to reoccur for Jamaica. The approach for the future is going to have to be the broadest portfolio to accumulate the capital which according to the available reports are available with the most affluent sector of the Jamaican economy - the Jamaican diaspora. Jamaica desperately needs a future that can be financed by Jamaicans for the development of Jamaica with the comparative advantages that put Jamaica on the map the way this project can do so for the promotion of the athletic prowess of the Caribbean to be on show packaged with the Jamaica musical culture, cuisine and culture packaged for presentation in the best possible format of consequence arranged as the best tourism attraction in the Latin Americas. It is a pithy that a country with so much potential is not doing what can be done to change Jamaicas fortunes which affects everyone possible for the better. A horse can be led to the water but cannot be forced to quench and satisfy thirst.
