It is being considered becuase we screwed our highly indicated ALL DRUG policy framework based on best practice public health (Ottawa Charter principled - hello Healthy Christchurch! ) and went for the politicaly expedient solution that panders to.... well a lot of people on here clearly! Hon. Jim Anderton passed, via Helen Clarks Labour Cuacus the crucial adjustment by Order in Council, subsequently gazetted and became law the very day John Key became Right and Honourable. Described by visiting Professor (and Chair of the UK expert cmte on drug policy) David Nutt as the worlds best drug laws such that he said at the Otago Medical School lecture here in CHCH I wished I had thought of them myself. Where would you see that insight reported ? Indeed, where would you find ANYONE who was critical of those regulations? (no animal testing required!)
