It is better to work as live in nanny now because everything is free. Wow! Good for the nanny and bad for the employer. It should be balance but it shows in here is only for the nannies benefits. This is not good for those who are still overseas , they lose the chance to be employed by Canadian employer. To all live in nannies who are not really good enough in here please do your best to be worthy of all these benefits you are going receive. To all reliable and best nannies keep up the good works. The downside of these changes is that if the employer will decides to let the nanny stay live out ,the nanny itself can not survive . It is very expensive living outside. The reason employers hired under the LICProgram because of the minimum wage .And now, without the room and board that is too much and some even asking to increase the salary. Employer spent so much money to hire under the program ; LMIA processing fee is $1,000.00 , agency fee, immigration consultant fees . Employers is better off to hire nanny that has an open work permit and or permanent resident . Too bad for those nannies already here looking for a new family. It will be difficult for them to be employed.
