It is bright and early in the morning here in beautiful Florida and I just wanted to update everyone. Tom Gurka, Lexi, and I have smiled and laughed so much the last three days than we have in a long time. The place we are staying, Give Kids the World is AMAZING! If you havent checked it out, you should or even volunteer there. They are wonderful to the families that stay here. And then the people at Magic Kingdom and Universal- they go out of their way to make us feel special. The one worker said to me that they like to make the kids feel magical and allow them to experience everything when they are feeling well. The princesses took extra time with Lexi, too. At Universal, Curious George (when of Lexis favorites) was going back in when they saw that we were from Give Kids the World and came back out to spend time with Lexi! We went to an animal show there and they sat us right up front, which was wonderful. (Except of course when the birds flew over my head-- terrible bird phobia for me). Then they told us to wait around while everyone left to give us a special meet and greet with one of the animals. Lexi went on her first roller coaster- The Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride. She was a little scared, but loved it and wants to do it again. There is so much more that I could write, but we are so busy figuring out the fun for today. Make a Wish is such a great organization. They really care and make everything perfect for these kids. Our wish granters, Linda McDonald Tepper and Nick Wiggins have planned everything so Tom and I can have fun, too! Oh, and Southwest Airlines announced Lexi over the loud speaker and everyone clapped. Smiles from ear to ear. I just wanted to thank you all for all your support during the rough moments and I wanted to share the happy times, too.
