It is canning season again. If any of you are wanting to do any canning In Ohio they opened up there tomato patches to the public starting this past Monday .You can pick Mon - Sat 7 -4:00 closed on Sundays . This is at Wolfes Farms under the bridge. Canning tomatoes are $ 6.00 per bushel other types different prices. Workers said Green beans PYO $12.00 bushel. Word of advice if its really muddy have a 4x4. AT the Turley farm Tomatoes are $8.00 a bushel, bell peppers PYO $ 12.00 bushel, Already picked $ 15.00, corn $ 3.00 a dozen said green beans $ 37.00 a bushel. Looked like all the farms should have them for another good week or longer, depending on the weather. We went over this morning & got a lot tomatoes,peppers, & corn will be busy the next few days. ++
