It is clear morons are ruling us. According to Ghanas foreign minister, Hannah Tetteh, who, I believe is heavily tanked up on fuel, the protestors were on the streets of Accra today because of a dispute between fuel distributors and govt over how much was owed, leading up to fuel shortages. The king is, indeed, naked, as one protestor, remarked! Does she, Hannah Tetteh, a trusted confidante of His Majesty Mahama, really think what got people onto the streets today was all about fuel and nothing more? Nothing to do with the economic hardships, disillusionment with the way the nation is being run? By, the way, is it that govt cannot keep proper records of debts owed to trigger a dispute over how much is owed? And, why would such a dispute lead to fuel shortage? Why would distributors opt for a Brazil-cash-airlift-ransom-holding kind of dispute resolution? Or, like the Black Stars, they simply dont trust the authorities to otherwise pay up? And, is the non-payment of fuel imported and supplied to govt not a microcosm of the bigger malaise of Mahamas cash strapping governance?
