It is clearly manifestly unjust to continue a Grand Jury System in a country that experiences on a daily basis the fierce truths of racial polarization and victimization on a scale that truly civilized nations cannot fathom in this century. No other nation on the planet incarcerates melanoid people the way the USA does-whether African American or Hispanic or Arab. Its not just the incarceration but also the sentencing. Death sentences for Juveniles as young as 14 and 17.No other nation organizes torture on the industrial scale that the CIA does. The CIA got some lessons in torture from some of the most ruthless Nazi figures under Operation Paper Clip. They have made it even more severe. Yet the US Government parades itself as a beacon of moral rectitude. At least Obama has the decency to comment on the issues without sweeping them under the proverbial carpet. Commentary is not enough. The Grand Jury cannot work in racially polarized societies and possibly the adversarial system needs to be replaced by the Inquisitorial Judge-only system.Melanoid lives matter. Melanoid people have been slaving, entertaining, representing, defending the USA for so long and yet they are some of the most downtrodden on the planet in a country that has income inequality on a scale only matched by Apartheid era South Africa in this era. Action will be the only recourse in the future.
