It is coming up to mums birthday again and I really miss her. I wish I could talk to her again, to hug her again, to share a moment, to look into her eyes to experience her love for me just for a second more. I wouldn’t be greedy, I wouldn’t bid her to stay for long or keep her from my dad. But I would like to spend one more birthday with her to celebrate with candle and cake, with presents and well wishes… with a big fire and an armchair (and a packet of sweets down the side). I would like to introduce her to the newer members of the clan and watch as she took them to her for a comforting hug, a chance to work her magic to make them sleep when no medicine could. I would get chips from the van and have chip butties with Russell’s bread washed down with copious amounts of Tea . I would remember ….. happy times ………….love filled times, and I would tell my mum how much I loved her …and my world would be all right again.
