It is confirmed by Chief Prosecutors office that the ban on travel is imposed by them. They said to journalists that I am a witness in the criminal case, and they need me in the country to participate in investigation. The only case where I am being witness is the one started in February. I have been interrogated five times. No commitment to stay in the country had been taken from me and I havent been invited by investigators since MArch. So the ban on travel is absolutely illegal. The case in Prosecutors office, opened in February is about revealing a state secret. It was started after I published in Facebook on February 17,2014 an alleged document, claiming that the Ministry of National Security had recruited a person (whose name I erased) to spy on opposition. For the persons alleged spying commitment he was allegedly paid on monthly basis and MNS has allegedly ensured his loyalty using his intimate video. This file was an alleged report of MNS officer on the agreed deal with the recruit. The file had been sent to me by former investigator of MNS, now residing in France. The person (alleged recruited agent), whose name I have erased and who was named in the file as recruited agent of MNS in opposition, filed a libel lawsuit on September 30. I am naming the person now as he openly speaks about his lawsuit against me. He even said that was adviced to file this lawsuit by MNS. He also wrote in the complaint that he files the lawsuit as a response to my what he calls pro-Armenian behavior. Elman Hasanov claims, that I published the full document (without erasing his name) and another document which claims that he used his connections to cover up a rape case he was involved. I have never published any document on rape, and İ didnt publish anything showing his name. As I have learnt soon after publishing that file, both documents had been published by FB user under nickname Mustafa Kozlu back in 2011. The court has obtained on request of Elman Hasanov a letter from the Ministry of National Security. The letter claims that I had published both files in 2011, then deleted them. They also claim that the documents are forged. This is absolute lie. Moreover, the law enforcement must decide - what these bloody files are - the state secret or the forged documents? Anyways, I dont expect any justice in Azerbaijan. They might say whatever they want. For now, they keep me from traveling abroad, they may well go further up to arrest. I will protest legally off course.
