It is definitely the little things...JT says...dad...I dont now how to put jelly on my toast. I look over to him with a raised eyebrow. You mean to tell me that you are 10 years old and you have never put jelly on your toast? He says...yep...how do I do it? So I tell him the particulars as I put my bread in the toaster. He works on it in a very focused way...being very focused on getting the jelly out of the jar and successfully on the bread...he then says...dad I need you to do it for me. I dont think it will taste as good if I do it. I look at his toast and it had a smidge of jelly on it. So I then show him how I would do it...I said JT it is all about the slather. I get it just so and give it to him. He says...good. I ask if it hit the spot and he says yes! Winner. It really is the little things that matter...even when my toast burned in the process. Take that kind of stuff any day and any time.
