It is discouraging to hear Southern conservatives talk about how our president should stand up to Russia. Some are praising the Socialist president of France for talking tough against Russia. And to what end? Does anyone seriously want a militRy confrontation with a major nuclear power? Lets also vonsider a few points. First, Obama is not our anything. He and the government he leads is against us on everything. Second, what policies would the USA force upon Eastern Europe if it could? For the answer just look at the policies the US courts force upon the Southern States. Thirdly, keep in mind that while Russias leadership is not perfect, it does advance an openly pro-Christian, conservative social agenda. The USA hasnt done that in a very long time. Fourthly, Russia is defending ethnic Russians and closely related Slavic Russian-speakers. The USA should butt out and worry about defending its own borders (which it hasnt done since 1965).
