It is disheartening to have friends desert you, Jesus himself knew what it’s like to have his friends desert him. Jesus was set up by one of his own disciples and arrested, then all the disciples deserted him and fled; But His DADDY (GOD) Stood by His side. And thats how God does His children. God stands by our sides. When others desert us, when others do not believe in us, when others cease to love us, God stands by us and God loves us. As Moses was preparing to die and turn over leadership to Joshua, he gave Joshua a promise from God that is applicable to us today. He told Joshua, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Some of you might be discouraged right now, you may have become weak physically and spiritually because of the situation you find yourself in, but I want to encourage you....DO NOT BECOME DISCOURAGED. THE LORD GOD IS STANDING WITH YOU. THE LORD GOD IS THERE FOR YOU. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE YOU. HE IS YOUR PRESENT HELP IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE AND NEED. ~always
