It is easier to find Moses (as) than Al-Khidhr (as) It is easier to find a group of awliya with a heart like Moses (as) than a group of awliya Allah with a heart like Al-Khidhr (as) because the group of awliya with a heart like the heart of Al-Khidhr (as) are the most hidden awliya Allah in any given era. Although it is difficult to find awliya Allah with a heart like Al-Khidhr (as), their number are always much more than the number of awliya Allah with a heart like Moses or Jesus (as) in any given era. ~ Yos Wiyoso Hadi ( Muharam 5, 1395AH - ) Imam Ahmad Abu Nuaym in Hilyat al-awliya and Imam Ibn Asakir narrated from Abdullah ibn Masud (Radi Allahu taala anhu) that the Most Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu taala alayhi wa Sallam) says; Undoubtedly there are 300 Awliya (friend) of Allah within his creature and their hearts are the heart of Adam (alaihis salaam) and the hearts of 40 are like the heart of Musa (alayhis salaam) and the hearts of the seven are like the heart of Ibrahim (alayhis salaam) and the heart of the five are like the heart of Jibrail (alayhis salaam) and the hearts of the three are like the heart of Mikail (alayhis salaam) and the heart of one is like the heart of Israfeel (alayhis salaam). When that one (whose heart is like the heart of Israfeel) dies the one among of three made his representative and when someone dies among these three the one among five is made his representative and when someone dies from five the one among the seven is made his representative and when someone dies from seven the one among the forty is made his representative and when someone dies from the forty the one among the three hundred is made his representative and when someone dies from the three hundred the one among the general creature is made his representative. These are the 356 Awliya due to them the life, death, raining and the growing of the plant is happened. While in another occasion, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, Forty of my followers will always be on earth whose heart will be like the heart of (prophet) Ibrahim (as). [Tabrani, narrated by Ibn Masud ra]. What does it mean? It means that in every generation there are always 7 (Seven) Wali Abdal whose heart will be like the heart of (prophet) Ibrahim (as) and 33 (thirty three) Wali Abdal whose heart will combine the heart/characters of Ibrahim and Musa (as) in one person, AND there are always 7 (Seven) Wali Allah whose heart will be purely like the heart/character of Musa (as). Among the Companion, Salman al-Farsi (ra) and Ali bin Abi Talib were two of the forty Wali Abdal. Besides his heart was like the combination of the hearts/characters of Ibrahim and Musa (as), Ali bin Abi Talibs heart was also like the combination of the hearts/characters of Adam, Nuuh/Noah Isa/Jesus and other of the prophets. Allah said, Truly, the heavens and the earth were too weak to contain Me, but the soft, humble heart of my believing slave (such as prophet Adam, Abraham, Jesus Christ as) contains Me. ~ Hadith Qudsi Tabarani has related from Abu Utbah al-Khawlaanee (r) from RasulAllah (saws) that, Truly, Allah has vessels from amongst the people of the earth, and the vessels of your Lord are the hearts of his righteous slaves, and the most beloved of them to Him are the softest and most tender ones. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam, Al-Albani rates this hadith mentioned as Hassan [Sahih al-Jami al- Saghir, no. 2163; Silsilah al-Ahadith al-Sahihah, no. 1691] Follow those who ask no reward (nor praise) of you (for themselves), and they are [rightly] guided. ( Surat Yā-Sīn verse 21 ) A man came to the Prophet (saws) and asked him O Allahs Messenger, tell me of something I do to win Allahs love and peoples love. The Prophet answered: Do not love this world, Allah would love you and do not have a longing for whatever people have, people would love you. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam ( Ibn Majah) If Allah would love his servant He would call Archangel Jibraeel (Gabriel) and tell him I love this person, therefore love him. And Jibraeel would love him and call out in the heavens Allah loves this person, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of the heavens would love him. Then he would be embraced by the people of this world. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam (Sahih Muslim) Narrated Abu Hurayrah (r): The Prophet (saws) said, If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying: Allah loves so and so; O Gabriel, love him. Gabriel would love him, and then Gabriel would make an announcement among the residents of the Heaven, Allah loves so-and-so, therefore, you should love him also. So, all the residents of the Heavens would love him and then he is granted the pleasure of the people of the earth. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) [Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73 #66] Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise. ( Surat Yusuf verse 100 ) We raise in degrees whom We will, but over every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing. ( Surat Yusuf verse 76 ) Say [O Muhammad], O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not a custodian over you. ( Surat Yunus verse 108 ) Say (O Muhammad): This is my way: I call (people) to God with insight, I and those (saints or messengers who are NOT Prophets) who follow me. ( Surat Yusuf verse 108 ) ameen
