It is easy to forget sometimes how lucky we are. At Calgary Humane Society we are lucky to have a community of incredible supporters who make so much of our work possible. We are so thankful for each and every one of you. But today, on Remembrance Day, we are reminded that the incredible country we are a part of would not have been possible without the sacrifices of our Veterans. Because of their tremendous sacrifice, we are all able to enjoy peace, security and freedom. It is because of our Veterans that we are able to speak out against injustice and stand up for what we believe in without fear of persecution. As you enjoy the Remembrance Day holiday today, we encourage all of our supporters to pause in thanks to our Canadian Veterans who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much to give us the freedoms we enjoy. Those of us at Calgary Humane Society would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our country’s Veterans for all they have done. Thank you for your loyalty and commitment. Thank you for what you have given us. Thank you for your sacrifice. Today, as we come together to remember, we invite you to share your meaningful Remembrance Day stories.
