It is easy to single out one man responsible for my learning the banjo.....although I had many I looked up to, there was one who gave freely of his time....his patience...and his frindship. We have joked about it recently and the way things all worked out...he believes it was devine intervention!!! My dear and forever friend Roy Thomson took the time to show me the right way....the rolls....the timing....Roy is an accomplished musician himself, fluent on Guitar, hawaian guitar, dobro, beautiful steel guitar, banjo and probably any other instrument he touches. I am forever greatful for his teachings and his friendship. I send this song out to you Roy...the best way I can think of to thank you is through my learnings.
