It is evident that within any organization or institution in Trinidad and Tobago ambition is existent. Most of the population be it the academics, labourers or sportsmen work relentlessly to climb the ladder of success. That is an admirable trait for a small country like Trinidad and Tobago. The competitive nature will foster brilliant minds, skilled labor and talented sportsmanship. Look at Sunil Narine’s performance in the Nagico cricket finals! Is there a limit to a person’s drive and determination? How far will one go to climb to the top? Would he sacrifice his comrade to see himself prosper? It is most alarming to see this kind of petty behavior happening in the governance of our country. A team is created for the purpose of achieving a common goal. Partners or teammates are two or more person working together in an endeavor. One would think that if a member of the team has a concern or an issue he would like addressed he would go to the source of his concern. Sadly in some spheres we lack that common courtesy and logical thinking. One would rather go out and cause uproar and put pressure on his team. I asked an experienced elder who had profited by his knowledge of the world, “What course should I pursue to obtain prosperity?” He replied, “Contentment-if you are able, practice contentment.” My friend, please play your role and try to play it as well as you can. When the time is right you will have you moment to shine .Don’t go raining on others parade because it does you more harm than good. This childish behavior only portrays envy, immaturity and the traits of someone who isn’t ready to lead.
