It is exactly 4 weeks today since Emily arrived by helicopter to Albany Medical Center, of which I have had one respite day off - of my choosing, I must add, as there have been offers for me to have had more, but I have wanted to be here personally to advocate and discuss her care with the various teams of docs. I hate to ask for favours but I know that in the coming weeks my work is going to be non-stop with visits from various rehab people, home tutoring etc, and theres still going to be everything to take care of that Ive been putting off for the past month: vet visits, grocery shopping, and so on. So.......in the coming weeks, before Emily gets to go back to school - which will hopefully be in a couple of weeks time - if anyone ever wants to come and sit with Emily for a few hours so that I can take care of other things, or even just have a quiet moment to myself, I know that I would really welcome that. Thank you so much everyone for your ongoing support, prayers and kindness to our family. I will probably continue updating Emilys page at least until she returns to school for those who wish to continue following her progress.
