It is fine to support local CSOs if the do not have ambition for full ownership of their results; it is fine to support them if they advocate for international CSO; it is fine to support them until they allow their projects be copied and pasted in large scaled projects of Patron. But harassment of national CSOs start when they become “too ambitious” and begin to speak on behalf of women’s movements of their countries and their regions and demand to be valued on equal bases. Patriarchy is everywhere: the problem is far beyond power obsessions of concrete field coordinators, but rather profound structural power problem and domination, so often demonstrated in relationship between well established international CSO and local organizations, which remain as a row material for internationals.
