It is good to be home! Telling Dana all about the trip last night, - TopicsExpress

It is good to be home! Telling Dana all about the trip last night, I realized Im not sure where to take the boys next year. I had been planning on Atlantis in the Bahamas, but this weekend says maybe not. Instead, a quieter, less tourist-y trip. (I took a cruise once and would not again.) So that is the new dilemma. I was weepy because Id rather Dana went with us and experienced it himself. And because it is also not easy to take them by myself. And because nothing is as good when you have to tell it instead of experiencing it together. (But still, I am grateful to be able to go.) And because I have only a couple of years left with the boys - wish I had taken them before. Done more. Worried less. Ugh. Time just goes by so fast. I wish Dana could go with us next year, too. Not going, he might regret it later. But no one can make you feel those feelings of regret. Everyone says, enjoy your kids/spouse/life now because it goes by in a flash. You have to arrive at that on your own. And it is painful to do. I wish I had more time, but I am grateful for the time I have and I thank God for the blessings in our lives. I need to savor our time together... slow it down somehow. Huh, dont we all?
