It is honestly, poor football knowledge to suggest these as win now moves. Oakland has young talent, and signed proven, albeit, declining veterans to team friendly. This is about mentorship, while remaining competitive. The notion of 2014 or bust implies they have harmed their future in favor of now. Thats not the case at all, as Oakland, with the deals theyve acquired, has in no way harmed their long term cap situation. Suggest the acquisition of Schaub is anything more than a stop gap, is just not true. Oakland very well may be competitive next year. As 20 year old born into being a Raider, Id love it, as I can hardly remember playoff appearances in 1st and 2nd grade (did that make anyone else feel old?). Ill say, this team is improved from last year, and I like the new faces. But expectation should remain realistic, and egging RaiderNation into expectation is really not fair. Let me make this clear, however, I am by no means suggesting I dont think this team could win 10 games and make the playoffs. I merely commenting on the fact that this journalist is wrong in his assertion that Raiders are 2014 or bust.... Another thing, win now? Thats just a ignorant statement, inm my opinion. This is the NFL, basically every team is win now
