It is honestly so sad to me how much we as people in the Western world complain!! As I was flipping through channels, I stopped on HGTV, and there was a show about this couple trying to find their first home. They were arguing because the woman wanted everything to be move-in ready, and she was complaining that the shade of white on the bathroom counter didnt match the white of the bathroom cabinets perfectly. I do understand wanting updated appliances or for things to match, but subhan Allah, the lack of appreciation that they even have the money for a home?! It just caught me off guard. What does it really take for us to realize how utterly BLESSED we are? Like honestly, we are spoiled as heck here, and even when people I know are struggling, they still have food, water, shelter, clothing, and typically sooo much more than just the basics. Imagine those who literally have NOTHING, or who have to live off of only what they can carry with them! What if you were in that situation? Would YOU still be grateful? Just try to remember to thank God instead of being picky. If you have something that you arent 100% satisfied with (car, home, food, clothes, etc), at least you have those things to begin with. #foodforthought #begrateful #alhamdulillah #soblessed
