It is impossible for hate, or bigotry, or bias, or respect of persons, or unfair treatment, or partiality, or abuse to exist very long where people will consistently and with regularity do unto others as they would have them to do unto them, who will love their neighbors as themselves, and show compliance to properly constituted authority. Further, it is not incumbent on one race more than any other race, or one gender more than another gender, or one economic level more than those on another economic level to practice the same. It is the responsibility of all people to deal with each other on all occasions, under all circumstances, and in all situations accordingly and without exception. It is a simple solution to most of the problems between and among people, but it will never be practiced by most people. The reason such is the case is this---most people desire to have their own way regardless of what it does or does not do to or for others. To one extent or another, in general, people do not mind lying, cheating, stealing, abusing, hurting or killing others in order to have and do things their way. So, for those who live out their lives practicing the Golden Rule, loving their neighbors as themselves, and submitting to properly constituted authority, they must expect to be in the smallest of minorities. However, Jesus said, A little leaven leavens the whole lump. And, one can never be or go wrong in anything or in dealing with anyone by always doing what is right, opposing what is wrong, and thereby showing others how to live and how to make a living. How do we employ the foregoing principles in our lives? It is by loving God with all that we are and have. When we do that, all else will fall into its proper place. Why is that the case? Because when we truly love God we will keep His commandments (John 14:15). And, thereby He who made this world and all things therein, including mankind, can get us through this brief sojourn in the flesh to the eternal realms of glory. Will 2015 be a happy new year? No more than any other year has been. Indeed, it could be much worse. For this is the world and it is dominated by the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride or vain glory of life--the tools the devil has for dominating men and getting them to disobey God. Never the less, the way of peace is available and not far from us. But, sadly, few there be that find it. And, that is because even fewer people are even interested in looking for it, much less learning how to enter it and doing what is necessary to walk therein.
