It is incredibly illogical that school textbooks on music, arts and literature have giant chapters on the biography of the composers, painters an writers, whereas the Physics, Mathematics, Geometry books contain non, perhaps just the years of their birth and expiry... The Pythagoras theorem shouldnt be taught from the theory itself, but, if we aim at teaching the child how to think, instead of what to think, we should describe them HOW Pythagoras came up with his theorem and not only --- children arent taught that Pythagoras had formed an academy, not because it was a building given by a government to him, but because his views on Cosmos, Earth, Sound vibrations and Geo-metry were so revealing, people would flock over for him to teach them. He then would choose students, whod have to dedicate at least 5 years to studying with him, the first 1 or 2 of which in COMPLETE silence, theyd have to have NO material possessions, follow strict vegetarian diet made of things theyd themselves grow in the gardens or pick from the nearby forests (because thats what an academy was back then - the mother nature with an open sky and touchable ground)... Theyd recite poems dedicated to a preferred planet/God or Apollo/sun before going to sleep and after waking up. Theyd have to learn to play lyre or other instruments not as a means of learning do-re-mi-fa-etc. but as a means of vibrational healing. Theyd have to have the will and natural curiosity to walk the mountains rain or shine in order to study nature, i.e. physics... Voila... Why? Why does one have to know this crucial paragraph in excruciatingly complicated textbooks by some over-PhD-dozed distant scientist (usually, from a credible Western university) only after choosing to study PHILO-SOPHY at a university, at the age of 18... Dont all the children automatically go all Pythagoras when first introduced to nature? Why do we box them and then show a way out through texts taught inside bigger boxes we call school?
