It is indeed The most wonderful time of the year! And it is also the time that the conspiracy theorists come out of the woodworks and attack our celebration of Christmas by claiming it is nothing more than a pagan holiday. Come, lets reason together from Scripture, history, logic and reason. Observations: The Feast of Tabernacles & The Birthdate of Christ Excerpt: Christian tradition maintains that Jesus Christ was born on December 25th; however, as of late, there are those who insist Jesus was born on another date, which in and of itself would not be such a big deal, but these others seem to be more interested in attacking Christians and their beliefs than actually setting the record straight. Also the groups who attack Christmas tend to be pagans and/or some sort of pseudo-christian cults, such as the Messianic Judaizers and Jehovahs Witnesses. These people seem to take great pleasure in telling a Christian they are celebrating a pagan festival when they celebrate Christmas, and some go so far as to tell the Christian, God is angry with you for celebrating Christmas, and you are sure to go to hell! Of course, I would like to point out, that these same people also attack pretty much anything and everything Christians believe and do anyway, so why we would give even passive credence to anything they say in the first place is beyond me; however, many of us have been made to feel a bit uneasy when celebrating Christmas by the claims of these others, and some Christians have abandoned celebrating the birth of Christ altogether...and so, in an effort to straighten this out once for all, at least in my own mind, this is a teaching I am calling, The Feast of Tabernacles & The Birthdate of Christ.
