It is indeed remarkable how the first Porsche, nicknamed the “P1”, has relevance even today. At a race for electric vehicles in Berlin in 1899, the P1 emerged victorious by a huge margin while over half the participants did not even manage to complete the race. The P1 was not only the fastest, but also came on top in the efficiency test, recording the lowest energy consumption in urban traffic. Today, the values of reliability, efficiency and performance are just as important for Porsche as they were 116 years back. Though it was not called that then, the P1 fits the Porsche concept of “intelligence performance”.
