It is interesting: I wanted to post a concise factual summary of Ryans budget. So I read through perhaps a dozen article on it. But everyone wants to make it about Democratic/Republican tussling. Can we make it about our country and our people? Heres the bottom line on Ryans budget proposal: - Cut the top tax rate on the wealthy from the current 40ish% to 25%. - Make Medicare a voucher system. - Make SNAP (food stamps) a block grant program so the states can whittle away at it. - Drop the Obamacare Medicaid expansion (puts 13 million people out of insurance). - Boost military spending. - Deeply cut discretionary spending. - Predict that all this eliminates the budget deficit by hugely boosting growth. I am against this.
