It is just 5 oclock here in California but l am up and trying to post my thoughts for today. I am humbled that God would use me to preach His Word! I was reading Nehemiah 7and 8 and noted the reverence and respect the people showed for the reading of the Word of God! In chapter 8 verses 5 and 6 we see the responses of the people to the reading of the Law. In verse 5 , All the people stood up: ln verse 6, And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground. My thought for today is, we should have a respect and a reverence for the Bible, Gods Holy Word! In these days of casual dress to worship, .let us NOT take a casual attitude toward the Word of God! The Bible is the written Revelation of God. To know the Bible is to know God! God forbid that we take the Bible for granted! I suggest that we read the Bible as it is a love letter from God to us! Cherish the message, but most of all cherish the God that wrote the Letter! The Bible is Gods Book of instructions on how we are to live, it is our source of encouragement and help for every circumstance of life! Read it daily, meditate upon it, and obey its commands!
