It is late evening here, and there is just the most gentle of raindrops falling. The smoky skies of this afternoon have gone away, and it is like a brief summer bird bath for the air. There is also the sound of thunder grumbling under the gray clouds breath in the distance. The leaves in the trees are moving. I hope all of the new born birdies are safe in their snug nests. With the recent fires to the west and the flooding, it is amazing that we are blessed with such a peaceful end to the day. Al is making his nightly check of the back fence line, and the new fridge is humming softly after reaching the optimum temperature. While I mourn the recent news of so many losses around the world, I also rejoice in the small part of comfort and love that I have here in my home and my heart. Sweet dreams to all. I need to gather that dog and go read in bed for awhile before I fall asleep.
