It is my belief that although the appearance of this situation - TopicsExpress

It is my belief that although the appearance of this situation seems disheartening, our demeanor should not be that of grief and mourning, but rejoicing. Rejoicing in the fact that as James 1:3 so eloquently declares… “knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience”. Therefore, in this our trial our attitude should be one of praise. And praise should come the depths of our soul; it should come from a place of supernatural understanding that God is going to do something spectacular. Understanding that the God who raised Lazarus from the dead is not concerned about timing. He is equipped with the tool of being all-powerful where nothing can hinder the plans that He has laid out from the foundation of the world. No situation is too hard for God. Some events in our lives seem to be so daunting and dismal that it seems all hope is lost. But it is in the darkness that we can truly see the Light. The Light of the World; Jesus Christ our Savior. It is this Jesus-Who for our sake “endured the cross, despising the shame” (Hebrews 12:2) allowed God to lay upon Himself the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6). It is this Jesus Who is not only acquainted with grief, but He also carries our sorrows (Isaiah 53:3-4). It is this Jesus Who died on a cruel cross on Friday, rested on Sabbath and in all power was resurrected on Sunday. Surely this same Jesus has power for us. For Jesus is calling us to be resurrected out of our grief, our sorrow, our doubt & unbelief; out of our selfishness & hatred; our iniquity & sin… whatever our present circumstance might be. Oh Glory be to God that HE HAS THE POWER! Power to free the captives and calm the seas…Power to heal and restore Danalee.
