It is my opinion that for anyone to call God [EL/Elohiym] al-lah - TopicsExpress

It is my opinion that for anyone to call God [EL/Elohiym] al-lah is blasphemy against God; the reason being is because al-lah was the name of the moon in Arab paganism [pre-islam]. I have shared that when Israelis forsook God to follow idols like Baal, Moloch, etc they called Elohiym by the name of the idol; God severely judged the Israelis who did so. Since al-lah is the pagan name for the moon it SHOULD NEVER be used as a name for Elohiym. One example of the problem with calling Elohiym Baal, when Israelis followed idolatry, Baal’s wife was Ashtoreth; there are people who claim that Elohiym has a wife because the idolaters called Baal Elohiym. - Pre-islam al-lah had a wife and three daughters; in like fashion calling Elohiym al-lah would cause someone to falsely suggest Elohiym has a wife and three daughters. Mohammad is given the distinction of ELAVATING allah to Elohiym status in the Quran. With the information in this response NO ONE should call God al-lah because of its pagan idolatrous origin, no more than He should ever be called Baal, or any other pagan idolatrous name. God told Moses in Exodus 3 that His name shall be called Ehyeh [Yehweh] to all generations; therefore to call Him allah is blasphemy [a reproach], and should never be use by Arab Christians. I also share that those who translate the Bible to substitute Elohiym [God] with the word allah are in gross error to do so.
