It is not a big deal in the west for celebrities to talk about something like this but in India, this is not something that comes out in the public too much. KUDOS to this wonderful woman to do so and raise awareness on something that is still a taboo all over the country even amongst the most literate and educated. I always thought Deepika Padukone is a fine actress, and now I am convinced she is a finer human being. Skeptics of course will say this is yet another way to get publicity, but even if that is a reason, to talk about mental illness openly in India and let alone admit to ones own issues takes guts... for that she has my #respect and then some..
