It is not a well known fact that the largest landlord in New York City, NYC Housing Authority, has breed ban in place for a host of breeds including pits. Lovely sweet Snow has fallen victim to that. And to compound matters, for a fleeting moment, ACC decided that he had been bitten and thus kept him on a DOH Hold—sitting in a cage at Manhattan ACC. Well that hold has now been lifted presumably because it shouldn’t have been put on to begin with and ACC immediately put this baby on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Snow is available for public adoption. We know from his people that Snow lived in harmony with 2 little dogs, that his people describe Snow as “beautiful, playful, affectionate, friendly, pushy, confident, excitable, and high activity ”—sure sounds like a great young dog who still needs to learn the fine points of becoming a great grown up dog! And Snow’s behavioral eval confirmed all of that—he absolutely aced it earning 1’s and 2’s on all items. Tonight, Snow is pleading for someone to come and take him out of that cage and return him to living like any dog should live. In return, this beautiful sweetie promises to be at your side for years to come, to be your very best bff and to make you, oh so very proud of him. If you’re that special person, start working on fostering or adopting Snow. But do it now—at noon tomorrow, Snow will happily go off with yet another stranger thinking he’s getting out to play—instead, that stranger will take him to the room from which no dog ever returns.
