It is not about Wal-Mart’s profits, McDonald’s profits, CEO wages or etc. IT IS A GOVERNMENT / UNION FUNCTION to set the inflation adjusted minimum wage. If we had left it to MANAGEMENT we would still be working 10 hours a day 6 days a week alongside our minor children just to keep a roof over our heads!!!!!!!!! Virtually all government and even the larger commercial projects are prevailing wage, and many have NO STRIKE clauses attached. EVERYONE made GOOD MONEY… from the guy selling the material to the owner that gets the keys. Unionism can WORK!!! And when it is the prevailing wage, nobody looses, McDonald’s construction does not a have a wage advantage over KFC’s construction or the local construction companies. I believe in Unions. BUT Unions have to also be ready to take their share of the blame for Detroit. Detroit, management and union, were too adversarial. You cannot say it was either side exclusively that shot the auto industry in the proverbial foot. Germany has much better system, WORKERS, just like other stake holders, are included in corporate decision making by LAW!!!! My issue is with the hatred of the ANTI McDonald/ Wal-Mart/KFC forces. McDonald/Wal-Mart/KFC is paying the prevailing wage. This is a government or union issue not a McDonald/Wal-Mart/KFC/Private industry issue. Raising KFC, Walmart and McDonalds employee wages will only address the cosmetic issues of unlivable minimum wage. Whitney is most famous for his advocacy of interchangeable parts. The adoption of interchangeable parts revolutionized the manufacturing industry. Whitney almost single handedly put an end to the micro-manufacturing artesian. If Whitney or some other person had not promoted interchangeable parts; we would never had the industrial revolution. The same can be said of Wal-Mart/KFC, we would still have the old Downtowns that rolled up the sidewalks at 5:00pm and went home. And the price of a set of clothes would have been stuck in the 50’s being largely tailored instead of mass produced for larger markets. If you want to see Wal-Mart/KFC’s demise, promote Amazon. I heard on CBS news that 53% of Black Friday Christmas Shopping would now be done online. Ten years ago online shopping was .000001% of the market. Now Amazon and the online market might be defeated in the NEAR future by 3D printing at home or maybe replicators like Star Trek had? There is no impeding PROGRESS. And hatred is violence as sure as throwing a punch, swinging a club or pulling the trigger of gun. Violence at best perpetuates violence. We have to pacify violence with our ability to rationally understand and respect EACH other’s need for personal liberty. We can not continue to pollute the environment with hatred or plastic bags that are too cheap to make and too expensive to dispose of. Everything exists in the ecology of life and has repercussions on everything else. Now of course we should ALL be fighting the ABSOLUTE CORRUPTION of our basic human rights via the assertion of “absolute immunity.” The Judicial sophistry of “absolute immunity” has constructed “absolute power” to the ABSOLUTE CORRUPTION of We the People’s unalienable rights under color of law... a “fantastic or delusional” scenario. “As long as rulers are above the law, citizens have the same type of freedom that slaves had on days when their masters chose not to beat them.” We are SLAVES to the Black Robed, Royalist, Article III, Supreme Court’s assertion of “absolute immunity for all!!!!
