It is not in the political culture of Umno that fairness and justice be upheld, and this is conclusively proven in this Teoh Beng Hock episode. The tragedy for Malaysia is that such immoral political philosophy of Umno has perverted and corrupted the entire spectrum of Malaysia’s institutions through decades of its immoral rule. And this is best illustrated in the hypocritical process accorded to this tragedy, where the judiciary, attorney general, police, MACC, and even a royal commission have demonstrated their utter lack of integrity and honesty in their attempts to cover up the truth in servile compliance to the dictates of their political masters. Our only consolation is that while we may appeal powerless to see justice done now, the tragic injustice suffered by Teoh and his family has sunk into the our sub consciousness, which has already taken its pound of flesh from the corrupt regime in the last election, and will continue to do so in future, if we are diligent in keeping his memory alive so as to benefit potential victims in particular, and the nation in general. malaysiakini/news/268965
