It is not often that one witnesses a moment of tender loving as I did yesterday afternoon I failed to get my sister Alicia Salazars birthday card out in time as I was Unable to leave my Moms beside last week after her hospital stay. My plans were to drive mom out to SA & surprise Alice..of course that was out of the question .... Next best thing is to call Alice while I am at Moms .. Alice was resting for her evening celebration. I wished her a happy birthday & passed the phone to Mom. The phone was on intercom As mom has hearing problems. What happened, next took Alice & me by surprise. Mom took the phone & proceeded to sing happy birthday to Alice. Oh my gosh, I could hear Alice breaking up & I tearing up. So one might ask what is the big deal ? Well , to begin with, can you envision your child battling cancer for over 3 1/1 yrs, unable to travel & wondering how many more birthdays she will celebrate OR how many birthdays your mommy will have? It was a touching bond of the two most beautiful women that have impacted my life & love me unconditionally! Their fight to live, love, enjoy life to the max & assist others is an inspiration to me despite their daily challenges ! I always ask God to place me where I am needed most .. He does and manages to surpass the last awe moment I have witness! How awesome is that? Peeps, its the little things & moments in life that leave us in awe & warms our heart Alicia Salazar.... Dont tell you often enough that I love you sis!! Looking forward to seeing you soon & celebrating many birthdays!!
