It is not widely, socially acceptable to speak well of oneself. - TopicsExpress

It is not widely, socially acceptable to speak well of oneself. The reasons why I think thats grossly off the mark in regards to the positive health of our global consciousness is discussion for another time. I willingly risk ego shaming for something I think is very important: As I sat in my lawyers office today for our final prep meeting before the trial tomorrow something was made clear about my life I had all but forgotten, mostly brushed aside and stopped regarding all together as anything important. I was Valedictorian and president of not just the student body but any other club I could figure out being a part of... I got a scholarship to my parents alma mater that I was really proud of... And I walked away from a university I loved. I left well respected acting companies. I left a film agent that was lining me up for national commercials and leads in movies. I left group of friends after group of friends (physically, never spiritually) and home after home ... Because I was being the best mom I could be to my ever growing brood and the best wife I could be to a husband that had little interest in understanding or respecting that title who also moved us 12 times in 8 years. And I thought a temple sealed marriage was more important than my worth. Ive fought for my family, during and after marriage. In every way Ive known how. I wouldnt change one thing, and if youve been lucky enough to be introduced in any regard to my four reasons, you neednt query the why. I. Am. BAD. ASS. May no one, thing, circumstance or story ever be allowed to get us to diminish, forget, be blinded to our own levels of bad assery. Im ready for tomorrow.
