It is now 12:30 pm - and my dads surgery is complete. Everything went well; very little blood loss. They were able to clear out the arteries in both legs and get stents put in. They are gradually dilating the artery to increase the blood flow to his foot (obviously we dont want all the blood to rush there at once - that would be a bad thing!!). In about 10-15 days, we will know the extent of how everything worked, and what that will mean for his foot/leg. Since he lives alone, and everyone he knows has way too many stairs in their home, he will most likely go to a rehab center temporarily to recover. Once I have the address, I will post for family and friends info!!
