It is now apparent a concerted attempt is being made to revamp and promote the failed Eames/Bradley report. Whilst there were issues within Eames/Bradley which could have been welcomed the report remains dead in the water. Indeed it was dead in the water at the time of its launch in 2009! It was morally wrong and it is still morally wrong to propose treating the perpetrators of terrorist acts as equals of the victims they murdered. That issue was unacceptable to Victims of terrorism in 2009. It is even more unacceptable to Victims in 2014. The majority of Victims of terrorism did not accept the Eames/Bradley proposals in 2009. Five years on nothing has changed. Eames/Bradley is still a no go! We now call on Unionist political representatives not to support any revamp of the Eames/Bradley Report. We want to hear them say clearly and unambiguously exactly where they stand on this particular issue. Our aim is to achieve justice. That remains the same objective for the majority of the Victims of the Troubles. Justice is the basic human right of Victims and we do not need to discuss that, or indeed any other issue Victims are entitled to as of right! Victims organisations such as FAIR - who are currently active - will become more pro-active to fight all moves to re promote Eames/Bradley. We, the Victims of terrorism reject what is simply the same report under a different cover.
