It is obvious that Obiano can not stop Ekwunife, Andy Uba, Stella Odua, Fidel Okafor, Obi Okafor, Col Geoff Onyejegbu and others such as Chris Azubogu etc from going on with their campaigns despite signing a vindictive bill into law last week and making a public announcement stopping the above names and others from campaigning in the state. While Ekwunife, Uba and Oduah are factional senatorial candidates of PDP whose cases are pending in the court, Hon Fidel Okafor(former political adviser to Peter Obi), Col Geoff Onyejegbu(former GOC and military attachee to UN), Barr Obi Okafor(Onowu Okpuno Awka and former aide to Obi) are factional senatorial candidates to chief Maxi Okwu led APGA with the Supreme court appeal on APGA leadership yet to be determined. The law is an unnecessary desperation by Obiano to harass perceived political enemies. The state house of Assembly has no jurisdiction to legislate on INEC elections and so the law has been confined permanently into ASWAMA waste bin. The law has become a mockery and huge joke as he lacks the power anywhere to implement it, as these candidates are going about their campaigns unperturbed. Obiano should get good advisers. He is new in politics and might not know that those pushing and urging him to take some critical political decisions unjustly are his real enemies who are only after their pocket and what they can get from him.
