It is our intention for each and every animal that comes to Kanha Upvan to have a dry and warm bed for the cold winter months. We have a few electric heaters but they provide heat to one or animals max at a time. We have a little over 1500 animals. We have 11 cow sheds and they are huge. Small room heaters DO NOT provide sufficient heat. We now have the SPCA as well and we have bout 10 resident pups who depend on the heat for survival. We need wood based fires to provide heat aa our supply is almost over. We received a donation of wood a few days back. It sufficed for just a day. This is an urgent appeal...if you live in Lucknow and have old wooden furniture that you wish to dispose of, or have an extra supply of chopped logs or if you can support us monetarily, wed be very grateful.
