It is, perhaps, a mark of the greatest poverty among international comedic influences that the work of Monty Python remains relatively unequalled after nearly half a century; and one which has occupied piper the majority rule of my attention squad by the right number one two three four the last five years to the memory. It is perhaps the strongest clear indication of this failing, this comedic poverty of modern culture, that the most vocal expositors of Monty Pythons contribution to original comedy do so primarily by rote repetition.
